From PennEnvironment (http://www.pennenvironment.org):
Right now, Congress is working on a farm bill that will dictate the next five years of farm policy and funding.
The Senate passed a clean version, but it must be reconciled with the House version, which is full of harmful provisions like exempting pesticide pollution from the Clean Water Act, putting our health and environment at risk.
Poisoning our land and water to grow our food doesn’t make any sense. That’s why we’re joining our friends at U.S. PIRG to speak up and support a farm bill that promotes sustainable agriculture.
Go to https://uspirg.webaction.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=28109 to tell Congress: The farm bill should protect public health and the environment.
