From the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (http://www.pahealthaccess.org):
The PA Senate is expected to reconvene in Harrisburg at 3pm, where they could start to advance HB59, which would add work requirements, cut transportation, lock Medicaid recipients into their plans and institute premiums for children with disabilities whose family incomes are more than 1000% FPL. HB 59 is currently in the Rules Committee, which is meeting today and only has HB59 and another bill before them. (NOTE: This is not currently on the Senate Calendar for July 26—but that is not a guarantee it won’t run.)
We need everyone to call their State Senators today to oppose these harmful changes, which are a back-door way of cutting Medicaid. Find contact information for your Senator at http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator/index.cfm#address.
