From Amnesty International USA (http://www.amnestyusa.org):
Since Donald Trump’s hateful campaign rhetoric became policy when he tried to institute a Muslim and refugee ban, Amnesty International has been fighting it every step of the way. It is discriminatory, a human rights violation and it is wrong.
Take action now to fight the Muslim ban at https://act.amnestyusa.org/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=1839&ea.campaign.id=69726.
We’ve learned that the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that it will hear arguments on President Trump’s discriminatory Muslim and refugee ban and allow part of the order to take effect in the meantime. This means that the Supreme Court has allowed President Trump to put parts of the Muslim and refugee ban back into practice until it decides on the ultimate fate of the executive order.
This bigoted ban cannot be allowed to take effect again, and Congress needs to step in immediately to nullify it once and for all. It’s always been crystal clear that this policy was based on discrimination. Reinstating the Muslim ban will not keep anyone safer but instead tear families apart. This ban demonizes millions of innocent people and creates anxiety and instability for people who want to visit a relative, work, study, return to the country they call home, or just travel without fear.
