When it comes to public school underfunding in PA, the facts are plain: 86% of the students in PA public schools attend school districts that are not adequately funded according to state law. For years, the General Assembly’s failure to live up to their responsibility to provide sufficient state funding for public schools has left communities across the state without the resources they need for a quality education.
But what does that shortchanging really look like in your neck of the woods? Today, we’re launching a new interactive tool on our site that pulls your local numbers to show the size and shape of underfunding in your community.
Here’s how to use it:
- Go to https://www.fundourschoolspa.org/findyourdistrict
- Tap on your district (or enter your zip).
- When it comes, tap “See district details.”
