Four Corners is excited to announce its first small group book study: Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America by Michael Eric Dyson who expresses the need for action more than guilt and change more than condemnation. This group study is open to anyone concerned about, and/or is seeking information/clarity about, important issues concerning relationships between Africana & Caucasian people. Michael Eric Dyson has also written Long Time Coming: Reckoning with Race in America and What Truth Sounds Like: Robert F. Kennedy, James Baldwin, and Our Unfinished Conversation About Race in America.
Our group leaders, the Rev. Hilda Campbell and Ms. Isabell Mejia, will offer 2 duplicate studies weekly for 5 weeks. You are invited to sign up for either the Mirabel Sisters study group offered Sunday evenings @ 6:00 PM beginning July 11 OR the Yolanda Guzman study group offered Thursday evenings @ 6:30 PM beginning July 15. There is a limit of 15 people per group.
