From Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children (http://www.papartnerships.org):
Each year PPC releases county-based “State of the Child” profiles that provide a snapshot of child poverty, health care, educational opportunities and other important measures of children’s well-being in all 67 counties.
Find statistics for each county about:
- Children’s Health: Number of uninsured children and how many benefit from coverage through Medicaid or CHIP.
- Early Learning: Percentage of children age 3-4 in publicly-funded, high-quality pre-k.
- Child Welfare: The number of children in foster care or receiving other child welfare services.
- K-12 Education: Student proficiency, fair state share and the amount of funding needed for a school district to reach adequate funding under the state funding formula.
