Worship & Study Resources

We are looking to build a resource for Pennsylvania pastors! Please help us to help others by sharing sermons, personal commentaries, bible studies, devotionals, worship materials, and other resources. Send files (preferably in Word) to s.strauss@pachurches.org, and note text reference and/or Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) connection (Year-A, B, or C) and week (Advent 1, Lent 2, specific number of Sunday in Ordinary Time, etc.)

Here are some general sources for materials to aid in prophetic preaching, teaching, and worship around important issues for people of faith. Other resources related to specific issues are available under “Related Links.”

Text Week provides a wide range of resources based on the Revised Common Lectionary—including many justice-related resources. Just click on the appropriate date, choose your text (if desired), and scroll down through links.

The National Issues Forum addresses a number of issues from a secular perspective. The goal is to promote public deliberation about difficult issues. These guides can be used to structure congregational study programs that promote thoughtful dialogue. Click here for a list of issue guides.

The National Council of Churches provides a number of resources for congregations, including worship resources, prayers, study guides, etc. Scroll down to view resources in the column on the left hand side of the home page—issued addressed are noted in list below. Many bulletin inserts are available as well.
