From the Federal Trade Commission (http://www.ftc.gov):
National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) (http://www.ncpw.gov/) is an opportunity to raise awareness about the free resources available from government agencies and nonprofit organizations to educate people about online safety, identity theft, credit and debt management, advertising and marketing claims, and how to avoid fraud and scams in the marketplace. Government agencies and national nonprofit organizations—including the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office – are involved in this effort each year. In fact, the PA Attorney General’s Office is hosting several events throughout the state during National Consumer Protection Week (http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/consumers.aspx?id=5000):
