Urge Your PA Senator to Support Extending CHIP

From Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children (http://www.papartnerships.org):

On March 8, the House voted unanimously to support provisions of SB 237 (http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/billinfo/billinfo.cfm?syear=2009&sind=0&body=S&type=B&BN=0237) that extend the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) through 2013. The program will expire this year unless the General Assembly extends it.

Now SB 237 is back in the Senate for a final voteThis is the last hurdle to keep CHIP operating.  Please speak up and support this vital program that provides health insurance to nearly 200,000 children.

Please urge your Senate member to support the extension of CHIP at https://secure3.convio.net/ppc/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=475.

Pennsylvania is a leader among states when it comes to children’s health coverage. CHIP is filling a void for families who cannot afford or do not have access to health insurance for their children. Chances are, we all know someone who benefits from CHIP. What will they do if CHIP ends?

Please urge your Senate member to support the extension of CHIP at https://secure3.convio.net/ppc/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=475.

Thank you for lending your voice to this important effort.
