Are You Eligible? Obtaining Health Care for Immigrants
Training for Providers, Advocates, Community Leaders
These trainings are open to health care providers, advocates, social workers, case managers, community educators, school staff, and others who assist the immigrant community access needed health care services.
The skill based and participatory training will focus on how to identify and determine eligibility for health care services available to the immigrant community. Topics covered will include:
Immigration status in determining eligibility for services
Eligibility rules for major health programs including Medical Assistance, Emergency Medical Assistance and CHIP
Addressing barriers to care
Effectively advocating for your clients
