PA Poll Says Voters Want to See Legislators Voting Records

From Democracy Rising PA (http://www.democracyrisingpa.com):

According to DR’s Public Integrity Poll (http://www.democracyrisingpa.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=cms.viewPage&organization_id=66&section_id=1011&page_id=9790), 86% of PA voters want the complete voting record for every incumbent lawmaker to be available before Election Day. This year, they’ll have it. That’s because House and Senate leaders in May declared that they will not hold lame-duck session this year.

This marks the third time – 2008, 2010, and 2012 – that lame-duck session won’t occur. However, the decision does not amend the Constitution to prohibit lame-duck session, leaving future lame-duck sessions as a possibility at the whim of legislative leaders.

This is your victory. Without active citizens making sure lawmakers get the message, PA this year would not be part of the huge majority of states that do not conduct lame-duck session.
