Ensure Minimum Wage and Overtime for Home Care Workers

From Interfaith Worker Justice (http://www.iwj.org):

As incredible as it sounds, some senators want to block the Department of Labor from making sure that home care workers are paid a minimum wage and receive overtime benefits when they work more than 40 hours a week.

Our Senators need to hear from people of faith! Urge them to oppose any amendment that delays or blocks rules to provide home care workers with basic wage and hour protections at http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/1035/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=10804.

Don’t let Congress deny the workers who care for our parents, grandparents and disabled loved ones the protection of a $7.25 per hour wage. We need to be fair to those who care.

We need a strong home care workforce for our loved ones in need of care. Tell our senators to do what is right for home care workers.
