The event will cover the issues related to: legal definition of child abuse in PA; PA’s mandatory reporting law; dynamics of child sexual abuse; and the ethical conflicts of interest that arise in reporting abuse. The event will be open to all PSU students, staff and faculty, as well as community members, with the goal of raising awareness of the legal and ethical issues, and clear up some misinformation.
Speakers:
- Professor Lucy Johnston-Walsh on Legal Perspectives
- Dr. Andi Taroli on Medical Perspectives
- Professor Jonathan Marks on Ethical Perspectives
Each presenter will give a 20-minute talk and then take questions from the audience.
